OSU has had a steady Magic community for years. The local game stores run Friday Night Magic, Commander nights, and the occasional draft event. That means Corvallis collections tend to include actually-playable cards (Standard staples, Modern pieces, Commander generals, recent foils) and not just bulk from the late 90s. Those collections are the most interesting ones to buy from.
The other Corvallis pattern is the college-transition collection: a graduating senior cleaning out the dorm before moving home, a parent helping their kid downsize, or someone who came to OSU to play Magic, started a career, and never got back to the kitchen table.
